The plan is made in the chat. It should happen there too.

Every family already decides things in a group chat, and then leaves it: a form for the headcount, a spreadsheet for the money, an app for the settling, somebody's notes for the list. Here it all stays in the conversation where it was agreed.

Today

Five minutes of good things, then the day is yours.

Your medicines with a Taken button for each dose, little reminders that stay until ticked off, and what the family is planning this week.

Add a stretch, a puzzle or the joke of the day if you want them, and hide any card you do not. No feed and no scroll: when it ends, you are done.

Plans

Ask everyone, and know how many are coming.

Make a plan from the conversation it came out of. The count keeps itself.

Two answers, coming and not coming. The third is silence, which is what the reminder is for.

Send the same card into many chats and it becomes an invitation. Every reply comes back to you alone.

🏠 Nik reached home safely. "Thank you, that was lovely."

Nobody has heard from Elena yet. Her name sits here as a person to call, never as an alert.

The day itself

Have you started? What time will you reach?

The most repeated exchange in any family group, answered on a board instead of twenty times over.

Said, never sensed. An arrival time is what somebody told the room, not what their phone worked out about them.

Splitting the cost

The bill arrives at the end of dinner, not the beginning.

Off by default, because money should never turn up uninvited at a treat.

Asking twice about money is awkward, so the app asks for you, privately, and only if the ledger agrees.

Settling takes two peopleWhat arrivesNik: sent you my share for the laketrip2Sarah gets askeddid this actuallyarrive?3She confirmsor she does not, andnothing moves4The ledger updatesfor everybody, atthe same timeIt takes both of you, alwaystheir move
Money in a family is remembered differently by each person, so a settlement here waits for the person who was owed to say it arrived.

Getting there

A ride is a thing with seats, and seats get claimed.

One car, one bike, one flight. Seats get claimed, and a lift offered is a lift taken.

Deciding together

Halfway down the argument, somebody says "why not Lisbon?"

That message is the missing choice, so any message can be lifted onto the poll.

Votes carry names, and the winner becomes the plan in one tap.

Lists and tasks

The list everybody still keeps on paper.

Anyone adds, anyone ticks. The one thing every household still keeps on paper.

Done is said out loud by a person, never sensed by the phone.

The Locker

The papers you go hunting for once a year.

Insurance, certificates, the passport scan somebody needs on a Sunday night. Encrypted on your phone, and findable.

Save anything straight from a chat. Folders, tags and search, each doing one job.

Honest limit, and the app says so too: the Locker lives on this phone, and on Android a sealed copy goes in your backup to your own Google Drive. Restoring a backup is not built yet. Set up your recovery first, because the app will insist on it.

Everyday

And the ordinary things, done properly.

The parts you would notice only if they were missing.

Voice notes

For anyone who finds typing slow, this is the whole app.

Photos and documents

Location data stripped: the event is the where, never your camera.

Reply, react, edit, delete

A deletion always leaves a mark. In an app about trust, nothing vanishes quietly.

Search everything

Instant, and on your phone, because your messages are not on our servers to search.

Your own names for people

Call her Mom even if her profile says something else. Nicknames never leave your phone.

Links, handled carefully

Never previewed, and a link says plainly that you are leaving the part where everyone is known.

A chat with yourself

Notes, links and reminders, kept on your phone.

Something feels wrong

One tap sends a message to somebody you trust for a second opinion.

Deliberate absences

What we decided not to build.

All of them were easy to build. Each was refused, and the reason is written down.

Last seenPresence is the most abused signal in messaging. Nobody needs to know when your mother last picked up her phone.
Typing dotsA live feed of somebody hesitating over a reply. It changes nothing except the pressure on them.
Read receiptsOff by default, and switched on by the reader alone. Did it arrive is a fair question. Did she look at it is not.
StoriesDelivery to people who accepted a relationship, not a message. It is also a list of who watched you.
A feedThere is nothing here to scroll. The home screen ends, on purpose, and then you have finished.
AdsAn advertising business needs to know things about you. We arranged not to know anything.

Our rule for the whole app: said, never sensed. What your family knows about you is what you chose to tell them, never what your phone noticed.

Honestly

What is not in version one.

Two of these are coming, one is not. It seems better to say which is which.

CallsVoice and video are deferred, not dismissed. Messaging has to prove itself first, and a call worth making across a time zone deserves building properly.
BackupOn Android your messages and your Locker are sealed on the phone and backed up to your own Google Drive, where we cannot read them. Photos and voice notes are not in it yet, and bringing a backup back onto a new phone is next.
A feedNot coming. There are no stories, no scroll and nothing recommended to you. The home screen is a stack that finishes.

Everything above is free, and there is nothing to buy. Any paid feature that arrives later is intended for organising on somebody else's behalf.

All of it, in the chat where the plan was made.

KnownSquare is being built now, for Android and iPhone.
